Toph - BAM!
but considering how lazy i am to check/write on my lj, facebook, myspace and...whatever else i have floating out there, it probably wouldn't. :D

anyways, first off, happy (now belated) birthdays to [info]muimi07, [info]himene and [info]rahien! whoo~!

second off )

third off )

fourth off )

thanks to Katin, i totally demand that everyone i know go out and buy a DS so we can all look like utter goofballs while playing this game:

and i need to post this because it's lawlz. i would just like to say that my mom did not freak out on me like that and we were smart enough to start in a parking lot first. XD

lastly, since i'm such a big fan and i couldn't resist, i totally ended up getting this. i SWEAR it's not for the panty shot, it's because it's neko with chibineko Ryuubi and Chouhi. :D i also preordered this sexy beeyatch because it is full of much sexy and cheesecake which i totally admit to wanting for it's cheesecakey-ness. can you blame me? :(

i'd like to get off already

Toph - *sigh*
not like that, you pervs. :P

the whole 'search for a car' thing has been quite the roller coaster and as someone who still has quite the of a phobia of actual roller coasters, mental/financial roller coasters are even less fun and can stretch on forever. SO WANT TO GET OFF ALREADY.

so even though this car was okayed by the mechanic my mom trusts, at the second viewing of the car, my mom found two problems. the first was that the release levers for the back seats were broken/missing/DOES NOT WORK. uh, kinda defeats the purpose of me looking for a hatchback of this style. quite the problem. have no idea if it's something easily fixed replaced but srsly, how/why the hell of all the million bits on a car would THOSE break? it just kind of boggles the mind or at least my mind. second, the first time we saw the car, we had the windows rolled down because it was a bit warm but not so much that we needed the AC (and i tend to prefer fresh air to AC if weather allows it). the second time, i guess my mom and stepdad were inspecting the car while the windows were rolled up and doors closed and discovered that the car had a rather pungent smell to it. soooooo i started looking at craigslist again...

and saw this car. sure, it takes away the need for me to learn stick but dang if it doesn't seem like a sweet deal, especially in comparison to this other car i found, which we did take a look at and it wasn't BAD but definitely wasn't as shiny as the GTI, which we looked at right after. i mean, if you take into consideration that the Golf is at a dealership so it'd be $6998 plus all the sales tax and blahblahblah, actually turning out to be more like $7700 out the door, the GTI is total WIN over it. sure, it's got some rock dings on the front that i'd have to take care of prior to rainy season so's to not risk rust but other than that, it was a pretty sweet ride. 4 doors would've been nice but i'll live. it was more of the ease of people getting in or the down folding of the seats when i need the extra space but meh, i can definitely manage without. now just to see if it gets our mechanics approval. *crosses fingers* DX

now...to take the lappy to school/work with me or nay... 2 hour break between classes. groo~

wow, hatemonger much?

so it looks like some jackass is taking time out of their pathetic life to cruise some of the GLBT related web comics out there and posting 'fanfic' of the characters within the comic that are gay being brutally beaten and/or shot by himself. i first heard of this person/occuring when the gal who does YU+ME and Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space did an LJ post about it. and not too long after that, the gal who does Simply Sarah got something from them as well. sigh.

sadly, this person has been at the whole GLBT hate fanfic thing for quite a while since their livejournal has been around for about a year. of course, like most hate crap, it reads like it's written by a preteen that doesn't know how to use grammar or spell check even if they were on by default.

it just makes me sigh and shake my head... and you got to love that he hates christianity and says the bible is full of lies and deceit but still love to use it as 'proof' that God hates teh GAY. seriously, dude, if you're gonna quote something, don't say it's full of shit and expect me or anyone else to buy your bullshit. it's like the prime example of counter-fucking-productive. it's just...fucking sad...

is it just me...

...or does Sarah Palin kinda look like Karen from Will & Grace, especially when she's got her hair up and is in a business suit? just sayin'...

anyways, this story featured on fark amuses me to no end.

also, i had a little asian girl came into the store this morning...with a pink, plushy unicorn head hat that had ribbons streaming along with the mane. it was cute yet mildly amusing. after reading so many fantasy books, you kinda start thinking with the 'rules' of the world and when i saw her wearing it, i couldn't help but think 'omg! she totally slaughtered an innocent and noble creature to increase her powers!' yeah, [/g33k]. XD

also, May 18 is a vere sad movie. but it also made me think of how 'cool' it would be if someone were to make a film in regards to the Bataan Death March. only so much of the whole WWII story ever gets told in popular media and usually it only covers USA, Germany, Japan and China's involvement in it. it would just be nice to be represented in a major motion picture that (while awesome and counts for a lot) isn't just a small studio, 'coming of age' comedy drama. maybe it's time to start poking Clint Eastwood or Spielberg...

Hellgate: London novels

  • Aug. 24th, 2008 at 1:05 AM
grrl gamer
so being a fan of the game, i had decided to give the novels a try.

the first novel, Exodus, was pretty decent. it starts 18 years prior to where the game starts, which is pretty much the year that the St. Paul's Hellgate opened. you're introduced to 2 main characters, the first being Simon Cross, an ex-Templar who left to live a 'real life' above ground when he was a young man. the second is Warren Schimmer, a schlep of a Londoner that seems to live under the heel of anyone until the Cabalist learn of his abilities, now enhanced due to the arrival of the demons. i'm sure from just that, you can kinda venture what happens to each but then again, it's a game novel. if you don't expect it to be predictable to some degree then yeah... anyways, it was entertaining enough.

the second novel, Goetia, was...very rushed. SUPERBLY GLARING typos, missing words and other such things editors are supposed to catch. wtf guys? i mean, i know only fanboys will read it but c'mon...you could at least proofread the fucker, no? no? okay, fine. so the two guys are still around and a character that was introduced in the first novel but kind of stayed in the background for the most part for good reason. i <3 her and she is made of much awesome. and while the second novel isn't stellar, as i was reading, one thing DID make my day when i came across this name:

Lyra Darius.

oh fuck yes.

sadly, she shows up towards the end so i don't think she'll get much action in this book but considering she shows up AFTER her encounter in Temple Church with Jessica Sumerisle (it takes place 4 years after the first novel), i'm sure she had to take time out to recover from that with having an artificial arm and all. >_>; anyways, she does talk about that entire night and even mentions Keira Skyler, the Cabalist shown in the trailer. it was just kinda fun to get a bit more than what you see in the trailer and what Lyra tells you ingame regarding the entire incident.

some other honorable mentioned names in the novel were Avalon (nsfwlol), who surprisingly is a Sumerisle. o_o; maybe it was mentioned in the game somewhere but i surely don't remember it. i don't think she's necessarily the daughter of Patrick so maybe...Maxim? ugh, that would be most unfortunate if she was since Maxim is such a douche but meh, what can you do? anyways, her name was mentioned but she hasn't actually showed up. maybe in the next novel or the next series? i can hope. :3

in other news, taking the train to work was pretty nice and fairly relaxing. no worrying about parking or traffic. just kick back for 15 minutes and listen to some music. good deal. wish i had picked up the habit earlier. might've saved Chachamaru some stress but meh.

in other news, i think i'm starting to warm up to the Mazda3's more now. i kinda like the shape of them better than the older Matrix's and they've been showing up for a lot less than the VW Rabbits. they're pretty damn shiny and quite ZOOM ZOOM. :3 saw a pretty good deal on craigslist so will pursue it.

day 7 and the soul is weary

BoA hawtness
i think a few posts back, i told myself that i'd never pick up another coworkers shift if it was going to make me work more than five days in a row. well stupid me and my desperate need for money right now, i had already worked six days in a row (since last tuesday) and when asked if i could cover a shift today...i said yes. the stupidity of this move is only enhanced by the fact that i have to work the next two days as well, both closing shifts. so yeah. nine days of working in a row. NINE. and i only have thursday off for this week. my feet are so fucking sore right now.

fuck my need for money right. fuck it up it's stupid ass.

so i'm sure the stress, both mind and body wise, is having a field day with my body but the one thing that's been bugging me the most after my sore feet is a poking sensation in/on my back. like about mid-back, somewhat close to the spine on the right side if you were looking at my back. while it's not painful nor does it feel sore, it still bothers me some. it's not the first time it's happened and since it hadn't happened in a while, i had hoped it was just a freak muscle spasm of some sort but now i'm not sure. it's not like i'm doing any heavy lifting at work so i don't think it's a strain... i dunno... suggestions anyone? *eyes [info]silverkun?* :/

spectacular amounts of whining that i feel i need to get off my chest but i'll probably regret it in the morning... )

in other news, GP506 is a pretty fucked up movie. i have yet to finish it but damn is it fucked up. it's like Event Horizon but in a military post.
Toph - *sigh*
to the late Chachamaru, my dear white 1990 hatchback Acura Integra GS. you served me well over the past 8-9 years, getting me to work, over the Santa Cruz mountains on highway 17 to get back to Silicon Valley, Vegas, Los Angeles and even to Reno and back, on multiple occasions many times. sure, you broke down a couple of times but for the most part, you were a good and dependable car to someone who's probably not the best at taking care of her cars in the first place. i'm sorry i sucked at maintaining you in comparison to the person who owned you prior to me but know that i loved you nonetheless, even with the fart pipe and the constant scrapping when trying to go over speed bumps and on some driveways. :3

Already Missing You,

Me

- - - - -

uh so yeah, Chachamaru is dead. to be more specific, the engine is dead. blown. kaput. apparently the head gasket was cracked so yay oil and coolant/water mixing! so yeah, D-E-D dead. it just sucks because i JUST paid for the registration on the car. thankfully, i hadn't paid for the insurance yet but bleh...

so basically, the need to buy a new car has been put into overdrive so i've been trying to figure out what kind of car i want to get next. i really hadn't been looking into it because this was something that was going to happen once i finished school so i didn't really have any idea as to what cars are even really out there, save for the ones you see just about every where like Civics and such.

so i decided to ask one of the guys at work who seemed to be really into cars what he thought might be good for me. i told him i wanted something not too impossibly priced, had good/decent gas mileage, was fairly roomy for both front and rear passengers (because i know some of you suffered trying to ride in the back of Chachamaru) and would be good/had enough trunk space for roadtripping. all of his suggestions were hatchbacks of sorts, but not necessarily station wagons, like the Toyota Matrix, Mazda 3 and the VW Rabbit so i looked into those as well as a few of the other sporty hatchbacks from other companies.

i don't really know anything when it comes to car parts and what not but regardless, i'm liking the 2009 Matrix S the most so far. i like the way it looks over just about the others and has just about all i could ask for from a car, though i do like the versatility of the chair configurations in the Honda Fit (which also has a new 2009 model coming out), especially the Refresh Mode. unfortunately, it just doesn't look as shiny as the Matrix. :x the Nissan Versa looked pretty shiny until i realized that the rear seats don't fold down flat with the cargo space. or at least from the picture provided it doesn't look like they do. bleh, silly 'stylized' car pictures that don't show them in a realistic light... also, the trunk opening wasn't as wide as the one on the Matrix.

i dunno, i'm up for other suggestions or opinions regarding the cars i've mentioned. i think i do want to stick to having a hatchback of some sort for the storage space. i don't think i need something that's super sporty, which is why i probably won't for the Impreza WRX hatchback. ;3 but yeah, info prz~

oh, and Reno stuffs tomorrow. mebbe. :x

so you have to love that Edgar Wright is rather "huh...this is news to me," over the whole thing. leave it to FOX to throw the news out there without even consulting the original creators first? n.n;

in other news, zomg earthquake! a delicious 5.6er centered here in the south bay. felt it pretty darn strongly in Palo Alto, which is a few miles north of the epicenter. i was highly amused that none of the customers (yeah, i was at work) were really phased by it. hell, i don't think any of them really felt it. THEY JUST KEPT SHOPPING. darn Silicon Valley-ans or something. n.n; left me feeling kinda dizzy/lightheaded for the rest of the day but that's about it. only one thing fell over in my room so i was relieved. apparently, the poor cats kinda went nutso during the quake then hid under beds and such for a good while after. poor Toboe was still a bit wide eyed even when i got home from work at 11:30. but hey, at least the pressure on that fault is relieved and at least it happened YESTERDAY instead of tonight when all the kids are out.

dinner with Erica was very pleasant and i was happy she enjoyed the food from my favorite restaurant, Gochi. XD tried a couple of new things: the sweet corn tempura and lychee mousse. i love sweet corn. i love tempura. putting them together is just awesome. basically stripped the cob of the kernals, dipped them in the tempura batter, then fried as a corn ball of sorts. very good. the lychee mousse though...MMMMM. the wonderful taste of lychee without having to feel like you're eating an eyeball. SO GOOD. a lot of the other specials looked really good too but i ordered some of the 'regulars' that we generally get. Erica muchly <3'd the yakiniku kimchee meishi, as she rightly should. X3 possibly driving up to SF tonight to hang out with her s'more before she heads back home. still need to find a bowler hat. groo~ =_=;

Hellgate London is out and shiny as evar. i still need to go pick up a copy and am hoping that Fry's was able to get theirs though it kinda worries me that i didn't see our Fry's put up their copies when we were closing last night. =/ oh well, gonna check the SV store first anyways. paying the founders fee for lifetime subscription? very likely at this point. :3

Fox to do US adaptation of 'Spaced'

  • Oct. 30th, 2007 at 4:14 PM
Toph - WHAT YOU SAY?!
FUCKFUCKFUCK.
WHY FOX?! ZOMGZARGH!!

......

alright, getting past the FOX hate, I'm somewhat ick at McG having a hand in it. I liked his take of Charlie's Angels enough because it was turn off your mind fun and his formula works with it. he used to direct music videos so that kind of dynamic worked well with Charlie's Angels. but Spaced? i...think...not...so...much. really, the only director i'd feel comfortable with touching it at all would be Kevin Smith just because his format/formula is pretty darn close to Wright/Pegg's. i guess it's to be expected as both Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz were fairly big hits here but meh... if anything, i hope this enables them to release the REAL Spaced on dvd over here.

Burst differently.

ur battery a splode

got home from work, sat down in front of compy and remembered 'oh yeah, i should move it to see what's making it teeter.' lifted it up to find that there was...nothing under it to make it teeter. huh. mmkay. looked at the actual underside of the macbook. 'maybe it stuck to it...?'

........

uh...

huh.

at first, i thought the release of the battery had caught on something on the desk and that part was popping out.

....then i noticed that the release was still in it's locked position.

...well, fuck.

so yeah. the battery done a sploded. thank GOD i still have the power cord because apparently, the bay area is filled with people who don't have theirs for one reason or another, and are pretty much SoL until Apple gets off it's rear and releases the NEW power adapter because they discontinued the old ones WAAAAAAAAY before they were going to release the new ones. smart, eh? so for y'all that have a macbook with the magnetic power supply, DON'T LOSE IT.

but yeah, guess it's a good thing i don't have class/work tomorrow so that i can go to Apple and do the WTF look as i show them the battery. even though apple.com doesn't say so, supposedly people have been able to get a brand new battery in the store with no hassle. yay.

just wow, though. mine didn't just bulge a bit. it BURST. i guess i should be glad it didn't just fry everything along with the bursting. *knocks on wood* that, and my hands/wrists aren't burning when i rest them on the laptop surface for the moment. n.n;

no love for this shack

BoA hawtness
so on a whim, i decided to take a break from my Prison Break marathoning and go with [info]muimi07 and [info]stormdragon to Old Port Lobster Shack in RWC since it had gotten a healthy amount of 4 and 5 star reviews at Yelp. i generally take all the reviews at Yelp with a grain of salt because let's face it, just like in love, no ones sense of taste (or lack thereof) is exactly the same. but hey, nearly a full page of 4/5 star reviews? can't be bad, right?

WRONG.

first of all, they didn't have the thing i wanted to try there, which was the lobster pot pie. apparently, they haven't served this in MONTHS...but have forgotten that it's still plastered all over their website. *sigh* so i decided to go with my second choice, the maple glazed scallops. they were out. *grumble* fine, lobster mac & cheese. can't be that hard to make that, right?

well, let's just say...i think we could've gotten the same, perhaps a bit better quality food at Baker's Square just 50 yards or so away. sure, the food had lobster but yeah...couldn't make up for VERY under seasoned pasta (it was DAMN obvious they didn't put salt in the water while boiling the pasta, and i'm not the cook that [info]muimi07 is) on both my and [info]stormdragon's dish, over seasoned steamed clams appettizer ("oh...is THAT where all the salt for my pasta went?!") and both under/over seasoned chips that came with [info]muimi07's maine lobster roll. maybe this is a place that you're better off getting the lobster steamed and leave it at that.

honest, i know lobster is supposed to be a bit more pricey, especially here on the west coast but cripes, if we're gonna pay $18+ for food, it should've ALL been up to that par, NOT JUST THE LOBSTER. sadly, the thing we ended up liking the most was the buttered toast roll. the waitress was really friendly and filled up our drinks even though the sodas were self serve fountains but yeah...overall experience was pretty bunk. i say, save the money you would spend here and use it for the gas money it takes to get to either SF or Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay/Monterey for good seafood, lobster or no.

in other news, i got my copy of BioShock to work (tee hee [info]keisuke_chan XD) and man, am i having a hoot. XD sure, i'm playing it on easy at the moment but i'm pretty sure i could manage on medium too. as far as i can tell, they're the same, just less medkits/eve syringes. i've gotten to the point where i have the telekinesis. and i have the shotgun too. mmmm...

anyhoo, another week o' school in front of me so time for sleep. to all of those that went to Yurisai, hope you had a good time and a safe trip home!

so it was a somewhat stressful day at work with us being a few people down. closing was oh-so-fun. but even prior to that, i got a real winner of a customer on the phone. i don't remember the conversation word for word but you'll get the jist of it.

Me: Fry's computer department, this is me, how can I help you?

Customer: Hi, I needed some help with a laptop.

M: Okay sir, do you have the model number of the one you're interested in?

C: Oh, I'm not sure which one I want yet. I just kind of want to see what my options are for a decent laptop without spending too much. There are some features I'm specifically looking for.

M: Okay, unfortunately all of our sales people are currently busy at the moment but I can assist you until one of them is free. What features would you like?

(I really don't know that much about the specifics of computer innards and have no problem admitting this. This is why I have other people build my computers for me. Of course, it'd probably help if I were to help along with it. Anyways, yeah, I'm so not one of the actual sales people who get the shiny commission. Dah well.)

C: Well, I want it to have Vista Premium and Microsoft Office.

M: Alright, well just about all of the systems come with Vista Premium or better but as for Office, they do come with a trial version of Office Word but not the entire package.

C: That's fine, I can purchase it and install it myself. How much does it run?

M: Unforunately sir, they have all software in their own department so I'm not certain what the price is.

(So at this point, I was about ask about what version he wanted and looking it up on the computer once I got the item number...but apparently, the fact that I didn't know it RIGHT NOW really offended him or something...)

C: *irritated sounding* Well, you sound pretty nonchalant about that. Are you going to help me or not? I mean, I AM the CUSTOMER, y'know?

(I *think* I might've sighed juuuuust a bit when I said that I didn't know what the prices were so maybe he took that as me being exasperated or something? Of course, it might've been due to the 2 other phones ringing, multiple customers lining up at our help desk with NO ONE ELSE being there, not even a supervisor even though they're SUPPOSED to be there, and the fact that I still had about 50+ pages of sales ad signs to do for the department... JUST MAYBE.

Anyways, I figured I'd let him vent and then I'd go on about saying that I can look up the price once I know what version he wants and blah blah blah...but NUUUUUUOOOOOOOOO!!!! Instead, I get this...)

C: GOD. WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF YOUR FUCKING LAZY FATASS AND FIND IT. *CLICK*

M: ..... *click* :D?! *goes about helping other less fucktard customers and doing signs*

Apparently, the guy called back a few minutes later and my supervisor picked up the call. I was told I got called a great deal of things more than fucking lazy fatass and he just kinda kept rambling on angrily to the point where my supervisor was just like 'Look, we're kind of shorthanded here and I'm sure she did the best she could to help you under these circumstance. I really don't appreciate the disrespect you're directing towards her.' And this is the supervisor that generally people have issues getting along with. I'm not buddy-buddy with him but I do my job so it keeps me on his okay/good side.

Anyways, getting back to the asstard, these were my thoughts on it:

1) Dude, I fucking WISH they'd let me sit down while typing on the same computer for 5 or so hours so I could get off my fucking lazy fatass to get you your information. Alas they don't. Pity.

2) Who's the fucking lazy fatass who can't be bothered to WALK HIS FUCKING LAZY FATASS into the store to see the products for himself? POT. KETTLE. BLACK. Unless you have a debilitating illness or are otherwise handicapped, CRY ME A FUCKING RIVER, TIMBERLAND.

3) Even if you don't have a ways of getting to the store, there's that whole INTARWEB THING, y'know?! God, what I would give up if customers actually took the time to do a bit of fucking research on their own before calling/coming into the store. And I'm not talking just computer innard shit. Like the whole 'What's the difference between an MP3 player and an Ipod?! :D?!' CHRIST WITH A HULA HOOP!

Just...fucking ARGH. At least I got complimented on my help just a few hours after that call. I've been told by many a coworker and supervisors that I'm really good at customer service, and I do my fair share of work and then some at Fry's. So yeah, I got a bit miffed after being called a fucking lazy fatass. It just sucks because the Holiday/XMas season hasn't even started yet and already we're getting shit like this. It really makes me want to NOT work during the fall but I don't really want to give up the benefits I earned after working there a year already. Meh...

Fucking customers.

in other news, i caved about bought Brain Age 2. it was on sale for $17.88! :D now i can see how old my fucking lazy fatass brain is! \o/

(no, i'm not gonna let that go for a while.)

Toph - *sigh*
Dear Mom,

SRSLY. I've told you like many a times...do NOT let the cat into my room if I'm still sleeping. I <3 my cat but I don't <3 being a human trampoline for him at 7am when I went to sleep at 4am and didn't intend to get up until at least 9:30am. You know it's very hard for me to get back to sleep and I've mentioned this before. PRZ TO RISTEN ANDO PLOCESS!

Irritated,
Daughter

- - - - -

Dear Toboe,

Mommy loves you like the adorable, blue eyed, furry baby you are but mommy is less likely to be grumpy at you if you let her sleep in a bit, mmkay? Mommy also forgives you for spilling the remainders of her lemonade all over the desk/floor/nantoka stuff on floor that thankfully wasn't electronic, therefor didn't asplode.

Going to noogie you later,
Mommy

- - - - -

in other news, yay new computer soon! while it's not the newest stuff on the block, i think it'll do me good for what i want to use it for. *cough*gamesonagraphicsettingwheretreeslookliketreesandnotbarrentwigsplungedintotheground*cough* i'm buying it off of a coworker so i should be good. and lord but it has SPACE. pretty much a terabyte all together. so much room for little sound bites~ <3 sure, i'll be piss broke afterwards but hey! shiny...

ugh, now to shower so i can get my haircut FINALLY. so annoying when it's too long for the style it originally had but not long enough to pull back into a ponytail to keep outta your way.

so i'm pretty annoyed now. mind you, i was already kind of annoyed at my mom prior to now. basically, my dad had phoned up and asked whether i could watch over Kouji for the weekend since they'd be away. i said sure. of course, this is the week i picked up extra hours at work, namely closing hours. so i figured 'hey, i'll just bring him over to our house for a bit. he can run around with Toboe and get fed. no biggie, right?'

apparently, my mom views Kouji as a Tasmanian Devil of a cat. i admit, yes, he's rather spunky and rambunctious but he's not a terror or anything. anyways, i bring it up with her and she's all 'ZOMG NO! TOO MANY CATS ALREADY AND HE'LL RUIN THE CAT AMBIANCE!' or something to that effect. i'm like 'he's not that bad anymore (he really isn't, he's a lot tamer than when he was still a kitten) and it'd be easier for me since i have the extra shift tonight and if i leave him there, he won't eat til like 11:30 or midnight. unless YOU would rather go feed him.' she responded by saying she'd much rather do that then have him here for all of 2-3 days. fucks sake... so that irks me and so i huff off with a remark of 'gosh, FINE. i might as well just sleep over there too.'

so i go to work, finish around 11:15, deposit my check then decide to check up on the cat. he still had food in his bowl from the morning but i go ahead and give him a bit more anyways. i start watching Little Miss Sunshine as i missed watching it before and by the time i'm done, it's 1am. i check his water, litter box and do a sweep of the house, etc then head home at around 1:15 or so.

all i want to do is get the fuck out of my monkey work suit and zone at the computer. what stops me? THE FUCKING FRONT SCREEN DOOR IS LOCKED. grumble. fine. doorbell. wait... ... ... ... doorbell. ... ... ... ... ... call mom's cell. ring. ring. ring. ring. voicemail. ANGER. DOORBELL. ... ... ... ... ... slap windchimes in hope of SOME response. ... ... ... ... ... consider going fucking Hulk and just ripping the bitch off the hinges. ... ... ... count to ten. starts to cut hole in screen. works on this for 5 minutes or so so that i can squeeze my hand through to unlock-*CLICK* PROFIT!

so yeah, FUCK THEM if they want to bitch about there being a hole in the goddamn screen door now.

time to go empty some clips into some Bane on Tabula Rasa.

[03:18] Kanu: You just have to love a hentai that when the main characters manage to escape from the evil parallel universe where all their friends are randy for each other, and each time someone gets off, they switch bodies with someone, their first thoughts weren't to check to see if their friends had made it out of the whacko sex subspace. Oh no, they decided 'Well shoot, our first making fuck didn't really count since we were body switched so...
[03:18] Kanu: let's go at it again for the first time!'
[03:18] Kanu: and with that, i go to bed o/
[03:18] Touko: What is this title?
[03:21] Kanu: Body Transfer
[03:22] Kanu: appropriately named, no?
[03:22] Kanu: it needed to be like...2 more oavs long. at least one more.
[03:23] Kanu: because srsly, wtf happened to everyone else? are they just still in the shagglacious time warp or what? I CAN'T HAVE PLOT HOLES IN MY HENTAI.

i mean, really, that's just plain laziness or lack of budget or something. the two episodes covered all of 3 of the...i think 8 other characters? i mean, sure, i mainly watched it because there was a girl confessing to her best friend before making fuck with her in a different girls body (aww~) but jeez...i don't even get to see what happens to them in the end. it's quite a shame since the making fuck scenes were decently animated but it's just kind of weird because just about everyone in the cast is a copy of another anime series character. the mains looked an awful lot like Sousuke and Chidori. just odd.

anyways, enough random hentai talk from me at 3:30am in the morning. o/ i really wish my neighbors dog would STFU and stop barking at every little thing. annoying little yap yap tuft of hair. -_-;

well at least i ate bbq...

yeah, didn't really do much on the 4th except...run the ENTIRE Fornost instance, which took from about...1-2pm til 12:30pm? something like that...it was fucking LONG. and it didn't really help that while our tank was a moron on general principle, he also had to 'roll a bowl' while playing as well... the place is quite humongous and one could easily get lost/turn a wrong corner into DEATH but it's still not as nightmarish/Silent Hill to me as Agamaur/Garth Agarwen, which is strange because even though GA is a MUCH SMALLER instance, it took me MUCH LONGER to finish it. then again, there were a lot more chain quest than Fornost so...maybe just the fact that i HAD to keep going in there sucked. that and there was never a time where everyone in the fellowship needed the same exact things so you end up running around the entire instance A LOT. also the drop rate on one of the quests is HORRIBLE. now that i think about it, there are quite a few quests for GA that count on drop rates... ugh...

but anyways, yeah, Fornost. quests are much easier since it's just a lot of KILL THESE FOR ME, MMKAY?!, along with a couple of collect X item but thankfully, not as a drop off a mob, just flashy stuff on the ground. SO MUCH EASIER. STILL DIED MANY TIMES but didn't stress over it too much. fellowship was pretty subpar, save for maybe the other minstrel that was with me and the champion once he put his ego in check. didn't want to coordinate for fellowship maneuvers for max damage/healing/what have you, preferred to RUSH rather than pull, and didn't give anyone a chance to mez/sleep mobs or set traps... i'm really quite amazed we were able to finish it at all, really...

so eventful, yet uneventful. n.n; you chose.

(bbq was aloha burgers btw. mmm....)

Live Free or Die Hard

y'know, some people look at Die Hard and say 'oh man, not ANOTHER one.' but you have to realize just how DIE HARD it is to come up with a sequel to follow one that had Samuel 'Badass Muthafucka' L. Jackson in it. it's DAMN HARD.

while it didn't have the same level of bickering as Die Hard with a Vengeance did, LFoDH is still very good. and WOW at all the actors/actresses they pulled into it. Kevin Smith, Cyril Raffaelli (Damien of District B-13. and yes, much parkour he brought to the movie), Sung Kang (Han of Better Luck Tomorrow/FatF Tokyo Drift)... Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Gwen/Royal Pain in Sky High) as Lucy McClane was TOO PERFECT. that girl can do good angry. :3 Maggie Q had the silent but deadly beautiful asian kung fu girl role. meh. Timothy Olyphant does crazy weirdo again but is better dressed than he was in Scream. not quite as menacing as i'd like a Die Hard villain to be but again, it's hard to follow after Alan Rickman AND Jeremy Irons. i mean, they have evil in the voice only. Timmy can definately do creepy but i dunno about evil. ah well.

either way, many laughs were had, much cringing and OOOOH! at deaths and body impacts. McClane is still crazy as fuck but hey! he got to keep his shoes again! :D if you liked any of the other DH's definately see this one in the theatre. it runs pretty long but it keeps your attention very well.

too bad the evening kinda ended on a WTF note. -_-; we were just a block away from [info]muimi07 and [info]stormdragon's place when some dude started crossing the street as our car approached. okay, fine, he needs to cross the street. ...or not. suddenly, we have this latino guy, saying 'Wassup, homes? Whatchoo want, eh man? Norte muthafucka!'

... *sigh* thankfully, the guy didn't start really beefing with us and actually attack the car but dude...what a bad night to try to pick a fight/defend his territory. i mean, c'mon...gangster vs car full of people that just saw John McClane use a car to kill a helicopter. not the best idea evar. i guess i can kinda understand why he's doing it if they've had problems on 'their turf' but meh...

oh well. grasshoppers (the drink) are yummay! it's like drinking liquid mint ice cream! :D

WARPED TOUR TOMORROWZ! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! PARAMORE LIIIIIIIVE!!!! YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYA!!! XD

also, the ending for the Nodame is WEEBLE. XD must get the del rey releases for the manga... *_*
