So LoudTwitter is down. That really does explain so much.

In other news, I'm now playing Jade Dynasty. Finally, a game that really IS worker/casual gamer friendly. It's nice to know there's a way that I can still get XP while I'm away at work so I don't fall ridiculously behind everyone else I'm playing with. Yay~

Fallout 3 review

Okay, sorry it's taken me a while but I really wanted to give the game a good run before writing up my review of it. Keep in mind that I have never:

1) Played ANY of the previous Fallout games
2) Played Oblivion but I have a friend who did so this is kinda half my review and his
3) Own a console so as far as controls go, I'm basing mine off of the PC

With that said, ONWARD TO THE REVIEW! )

but considering how lazy i am to check/write on my lj, facebook, myspace and...whatever else i have floating out there, it probably wouldn't. :D

anyways, first off, happy (now belated) birthdays to [info]muimi07, [info]himene and [info]rahien! whoo~!

thanks to Katin, i totally demand that everyone i know go out and buy a DS so we can all look like utter goofballs while playing this game:

and i need to post this because it's lawlz. i would just like to say that my mom did not freak out on me like that and we were smart enough to start in a parking lot first. XD

lastly, since i'm such a big fan and i couldn't resist, i totally ended up getting this. i SWEAR it's not for the panty shot, it's because it's neko with chibineko Ryuubi and Chouhi. :D i also preordered this sexy beeyatch because it is full of much sexy and cheesecake which i totally admit to wanting for it's cheesecakey-ness. can you blame me? :(

there ya go. you can also see what a FF whore i am. at least for the pretty nee-chans. :x and god i need to cut my hair again already... =_=;

oof, shoulder/arm/wrist is pretty RAR at my playing Rock Band for a few hours straight with C&T. played a little drums (oh so much practice needed), played a lot of guitar (both lead and bass, didn't have the confidence to play past Medium tho) and tried my best at singing. of course, HAD to do crushcrushcrush and That's What You Get because i'm such a Paramore otaku. also tried The Kill - 30 Seconds to Mars, Any Way You Want It - Journey, Vasoline - Stone Temple Pilots, Roxanne - The Police and of course, More Than A Feeling - Boston. i'm sure i did a couple of others but that's what i remember.

dinrar was yum even though we weren't able to put down the drumsticks/guitars/mics before Ramen Halu closed for the day but that's okay! because there was still Shabuway! and i'd been craving shabu shabu something awful the past week or so so it worked out. SO GOOD. need to introduce C&T to Little Sheep in union city tho. ALSO SO GOOD. oh, and just for [info]stormdragon and [info]muimi07, Shabuway has negitoro don on their menu now. BAM! :D

in other news, i think my mom and i have settled on a really good car today. sure, it doesn't have a sunroof but i'll live because it has the aux/ipod in so HUZZAH! or should i say ARR! XD even tho TLAPD is officially over, i need to squeeze a bit into the post SOMEWHERE. anyways, the car was pretty shiny save for a few dings here and there, which i attributed to him having attending, thus having to park in, De Anza. it seems i'm fated to learn how to drive a 5 speed manual so what the heck. better now then never knowing at all. i'm pretty happy with the find even if it's not a brand new car. i really didn't care too much about it being new from the get go but mom really wanted to go for it for my credit and blah blah blah. anyways, will hope that our mechanic has time to check the car out tomorrow so we can get everything done this weekend and i can get a bit of learning in before school on monday...

OMGSCHOOLONMONDAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGH! XD i'm looking forward to my anthro class, which will be discussing magic, science and religion! in more detail!

'Explore the ways in which people have attempted to gain mastery over the natural and supernatural worlds beginning with prehistoric times and concluding with modern day society and the contemporary world. Cross-cultural study of the beliefs about the nature of reality, spirituality, death, magic, science and healing.'

doesn't that sound cool?! XD well i think it does. and it'll help with future project stuff possibly so yay! now to see if i need a book for that class. =_=;

also, Perfect World is a pretty fun free-to-play MMO. i has a big wolfie-man named Skollgard (which i think i will be using for the name of my new car as well...) as my main character right now and he's up to lvl 24. i have various lowbie characters of all the different classes but so far, i'm actually really liking my barbarian as he's able to tank but dish out pretty nice damage while he's at it. just waiting for more skills on my tree that draw aggro.

oof work in the morning. sleep needed. o/

I could survive for 1 minute, 19 seconds chained to a bunk bed with a velociraptor

Hellgate: London novels

grrl gamer
so being a fan of the game, i had decided to give the novels a try.

the first novel, Exodus, was pretty decent. it starts 18 years prior to where the game starts, which is pretty much the year that the St. Paul's Hellgate opened. you're introduced to 2 main characters, the first being Simon Cross, an ex-Templar who left to live a 'real life' above ground when he was a young man. the second is Warren Schimmer, a schlep of a Londoner that seems to live under the heel of anyone until the Cabalist learn of his abilities, now enhanced due to the arrival of the demons. i'm sure from just that, you can kinda venture what happens to each but then again, it's a game novel. if you don't expect it to be predictable to some degree then yeah... anyways, it was entertaining enough.

the second novel, Goetia, was...very rushed. SUPERBLY GLARING typos, missing words and other such things editors are supposed to catch. wtf guys? i mean, i know only fanboys will read it but c'mon...you could at least proofread the fucker, no? no? okay, fine. so the two guys are still around and a character that was introduced in the first novel but kind of stayed in the background for the most part for good reason. i <3 her and she is made of much awesome. and while the second novel isn't stellar, as i was reading, one thing DID make my day when i came across this name:

Lyra Darius.

oh fuck yes.

sadly, she shows up towards the end so i don't think she'll get much action in this book but considering she shows up AFTER her encounter in Temple Church with Jessica Sumerisle (it takes place 4 years after the first novel), i'm sure she had to take time out to recover from that with having an artificial arm and all. >_>; anyways, she does talk about that entire night and even mentions Keira Skyler, the Cabalist shown in the trailer. it was just kinda fun to get a bit more than what you see in the trailer and what Lyra tells you ingame regarding the entire incident.

some other honorable mentioned names in the novel were Avalon (nsfwlol), who surprisingly is a Sumerisle. o_o; maybe it was mentioned in the game somewhere but i surely don't remember it. i don't think she's necessarily the daughter of Patrick so maybe...Maxim? ugh, that would be most unfortunate if she was since Maxim is such a douche but meh, what can you do? anyways, her name was mentioned but she hasn't actually showed up. maybe in the next novel or the next series? i can hope. :3

in other news, taking the train to work was pretty nice and fairly relaxing. no worrying about parking or traffic. just kick back for 15 minutes and listen to some music. good deal. wish i had picked up the habit earlier. might've saved Chachamaru some stress but meh.

in other news, i think i'm starting to warm up to the Mazda3's more now. i kinda like the shape of them better than the older Matrix's and they've been showing up for a lot less than the VW Rabbits. they're pretty damn shiny and quite ZOOM ZOOM. :3 saw a pretty good deal on craigslist so will pursue it.

only other thing i have to report is that after training today, we officially saw that we had campers for the iPhone outside our doors. small group but DANG. they like had a complete set up! i saw a monitor at least but i didn't linger around to see where they were getting power or what they were hooking the monitor up to. i just hope they don't roast too much tomorrow. i totally should've gotten a picture of them though... maybe i'll get one tomorrow... Toph - WHAT YOU SAY?!
so you have to love that Edgar Wright is rather "huh...this is news to me," over the whole thing. leave it to FOX to throw the news out there without even consulting the original creators first? n.n;

in other news, zomg earthquake! a delicious 5.6er centered here in the south bay. felt it pretty darn strongly in Palo Alto, which is a few miles north of the epicenter. i was highly amused that none of the customers (yeah, i was at work) were really phased by it. hell, i don't think any of them really felt it. THEY JUST KEPT SHOPPING. darn Silicon Valley-ans or something. n.n; left me feeling kinda dizzy/lightheaded for the rest of the day but that's about it. only one thing fell over in my room so i was relieved. apparently, the poor cats kinda went nutso during the quake then hid under beds and such for a good while after. poor Toboe was still a bit wide eyed even when i got home from work at 11:30. but hey, at least the pressure on that fault is relieved and at least it happened YESTERDAY instead of tonight when all the kids are out.

dinner with Erica was very pleasant and i was happy she enjoyed the food from my favorite restaurant, Gochi. XD tried a couple of new things: the sweet corn tempura and lychee mousse. i love sweet corn. i love tempura. putting them together is just awesome. basically stripped the cob of the kernals, dipped them in the tempura batter, then fried as a corn ball of sorts. very good. the lychee mousse though...MMMMM. the wonderful taste of lychee without having to feel like you're eating an eyeball. SO GOOD. a lot of the other specials looked really good too but i ordered some of the 'regulars' that we generally get. Erica muchly <3'd the yakiniku kimchee meishi, as she rightly should. X3 possibly driving up to SF tonight to hang out with her s'more before she heads back home. still need to find a bowler hat. groo~ =_=;

Hellgate London is out and shiny as evar. i still need to go pick up a copy and am hoping that Fry's was able to get theirs though it kinda worries me that i didn't see our Fry's put up their copies when we were closing last night. =/ oh well, gonna check the SV store first anyways. paying the founders fee for lifetime subscription? very likely at this point. :3

Jericho / Hellgate London

so i picked it up as it seemed like the thing to do prior to Halloween. it's a game with a concept/story drawn up by Clive Barker, after all. it's gotta have quite the scare/disturb the fillings out of your teeth to it.

unfortunately, the game has been more frustrating than scary. they expect you to do PRECISION shooting from the get go. hit these two spots on this monster while it's convulsingly lurching towards you along with 3-5 of it's buddies. btw, better hit those 2 spots before they reach you or else they'll EXPLODE and seriously injure/kill you/your squad members.

speaking of squad members, perhaps it's because i haven't had to micromanage npcs in a while but ugh...such a bother and it seems like they don't listen to me half of the time. i'll tell them to hold position, yet i'll see them running next to, if not AHEAD of me when i start moving. wtf? one good thing is while there's friendly fire, they don't seem to die from you shooting them. even in the head. of course, this might be because i currently have it on easy.

speaking of 'easy', i know there's generally a learning curve for any game but usually on EASY, it's like...EASY. this kinda goes with the 2 previous paragraphs but inbetween commanding the squad, shooting oncoming monsters, trying to hit those points on the splodey monsters, having to heal injured/fallen squad members as you're 1 of 2 people in a squad of 7 that can do so and hoping one of the splodey monsters doesn't feel like coming up behind you during the healing animation, it's feeling...not so easy. i like a challenge but typically, i'll go through a game on easy the first time through to see story/character development stuff, then go back to play it on normal/hard for the challenge. but yeah, it took me 4 or 5 tries to get past this one fight just because of all the splodey monsters, just...grrr...

a few other things that annoy is the utter lack of a map/compass/objective list to tell where the fuck i'm going/what to do. 'this is omega! we need help in the northeast sector!' cool! ass kickin' time! ...which the fuck way is northeast?! at the moment, i'm stuck at some big arena of sorts with 4 sphinx-like statues just...staring at them and the walls. i have no idea what to do. i even tried shooting all of my squad members in the head. yes, i really did. just...guh...

it's a shame because i do enjoy the stories that Barker comes up with but so far, Jericho isn't impressing me. if i can ever get past the stupid statues, maybe it'll improve but for now, i ain't holding my breath.

i'm tired as hell so i'll be slacking off on the paragraphs but i had to say that Hellgate London is made of absolute win. now that the NDA isn't in effect, i can freely gush about it. so far, i've tried out blademaster, marksman, engineer and evoker. blademaster is pretty snooze, evoker is alright but marksman and engineer are friggin' win. marksmen is better for teams while engineer is kinda like a marksman but with a small army of robots to help you kick ass. it's kinda like being a mastermind on CoV but without having to micromanage. at first, it worried [info]stormdragon and me that engineers and summoners didn't really have control of their pets but after Jericho, i'll be sure not to take that for granted anyhore. also, NEVAR ENDING CLIP IS RABURII DESU! we'll be losing our beta characters but thankfully, leveling isn't that much of a pain, nor is raising money. it's pretty easy for anyone to farm for parts/money so hopefully there won't be an economy problem except for unique items. getting around is pretty easy as well. as [info]stormdragon said, it really is what we were hoping to get out of Tabula Rasa but that got fairly convaluted pretty fast. so yeah, i'll likely be playing that along with CoH/V. inbetween homework, of course.

time, flowing like a river

Toph - WHAT YOU SAY?!
a very fast river. DX so much to blab about and will probably come out not so comprehensive at times so bear with me prs.

ugh, been quite busy as of late. been procrastinating on school work because i've felt so busy doing stuff that all i wanted to do was shut of my brain and relax, which for me means logging into either CoH/V and/or Hellgate London to run around. GYARGHSAFOOT! i'm hoping that finally dropping those two 'extra' shifts at work will alleviate some of that ZOMGness and i'll feel less stressed, thus able to concentrate on schoolwork, rather than running away/blissfully forgetting about it.

probably also helps that i went out and bought a dry erase board with a calendar on it so i can note when stuff is due for my classes so i can pace myself better. hopefully will keep me more organized in general as well. lord knows it'll come in handy for those days i don't have class for whatever reason. would suck muchly to get up hella early, waste gas driving to school then back when i realize LOLMEFORGOTNOCLASSTODAYZSUCK4J00.

reorganized my desk a bit. pretty much moved the cd boxes full of anime i had to the bookshelf and put the shiny clear plastic cases i have some of my Type-Moon figurines in on the middle shelf of desk. so i kinda have a Type-Moon shelf, then miscellaneous above it. pictures later mebbe.

argh, finished one of two things due tomorrow/today. had to do a mix of Time by The Alan Parsons Project using Audacity, which is a YAY!FREE audio software, but of course, nowhere near as shiny as ProTools or Live. was kinda frustrating not having such-and-such option available to me but was satisfied with finished product. link later mebbe?

other thing due is an essay which is kinda GEH because i haven't written an essay in...8 or 9 years. fairly easy subject but am still kinda EEK because it's the first time in many moons. hopefully will not utterly suck.

Hellgate London is fairly shiny. not super shiny but entertaining enough. waiting to see how the servers will work but until then, will enjoy the beta. rocket launcher = <3 vere muchly.

as mentioned before, i'm playing CoH/V -again- at the begging/pleading/highly suggesting/eye batting of [info]stormdragon and [info]themishi. still fun as ever though i'm rather LOL!LOST at the new stuff. at least running up and bashing it with my fists hasn't changed much?

urgh...highly considering freezing LotRO account for a while. i feel bad since i know we've lost a few other people in the kinship to school/elsewhere gaming but i know they also absorbed a smaller kinship recently as well. mrrr...might keep account alive if money isn't too problematic.

Erica of Yuricon will be in the area at the end of the month and wants to hang out, much to my surprise. while i'm not 'scared' of her, i guess i was never really sure if i was in her Good/Tolerable/OMG Stop Stealing My Oxygen And Please Don't Procreate list. pleasant surprise to say the least. want to take her to Gochi but grr at them not being open on sundays. DX might have to go with another izakaya or different restaurant completely. we shall see. also got invited to go along with her to a Viz Halloween get-together of sorts in SF. whee~ might be wearing Dickens costume early? :D? still need a bowler hat though. :(

and now, i leave you with a meme )

no love for this shack

  • Oct. 1st, 2007 at 12:24 AM
BoA hawtness
so on a whim, i decided to take a break from my Prison Break marathoning and go with [info]muimi07 and [info]stormdragon to Old Port Lobster Shack in RWC since it had gotten a healthy amount of 4 and 5 star reviews at Yelp. i generally take all the reviews at Yelp with a grain of salt because let's face it, just like in love, no ones sense of taste (or lack thereof) is exactly the same. but hey, nearly a full page of 4/5 star reviews? can't be bad, right?

WRONG.

first of all, they didn't have the thing i wanted to try there, which was the lobster pot pie. apparently, they haven't served this in MONTHS...but have forgotten that it's still plastered all over their website. *sigh* so i decided to go with my second choice, the maple glazed scallops. they were out. *grumble* fine, lobster mac & cheese. can't be that hard to make that, right?

well, let's just say...i think we could've gotten the same, perhaps a bit better quality food at Baker's Square just 50 yards or so away. sure, the food had lobster but yeah...couldn't make up for VERY under seasoned pasta (it was DAMN obvious they didn't put salt in the water while boiling the pasta, and i'm not the cook that [info]muimi07 is) on both my and [info]stormdragon's dish, over seasoned steamed clams appettizer ("oh...is THAT where all the salt for my pasta went?!") and both under/over seasoned chips that came with [info]muimi07's maine lobster roll. maybe this is a place that you're better off getting the lobster steamed and leave it at that.

honest, i know lobster is supposed to be a bit more pricey, especially here on the west coast but cripes, if we're gonna pay $18+ for food, it should've ALL been up to that par, NOT JUST THE LOBSTER. sadly, the thing we ended up liking the most was the buttered toast roll. the waitress was really friendly and filled up our drinks even though the sodas were self serve fountains but yeah...overall experience was pretty bunk. i say, save the money you would spend here and use it for the gas money it takes to get to either SF or Santa Cruz/Half Moon Bay/Monterey for good seafood, lobster or no.

in other news, i got my copy of BioShock to work (tee hee [info]keisuke_chan XD) and man, am i having a hoot. XD sure, i'm playing it on easy at the moment but i'm pretty sure i could manage on medium too. as far as i can tell, they're the same, just less medkits/eve syringes. i've gotten to the point where i have the telekinesis. and i have the shotgun too. mmmm...

anyhoo, another week o' school in front of me so time for sleep. to all of those that went to Yurisai, hope you had a good time and a safe trip home!

so since i have Colossus now, [info]keisuke_chan suggested i really give it a whirl by playing the BioShock demo.

Colossus can handle teh Bioshock. :3

well, at least the demo of it. :x

it's a fairly shiny game but it'll still take me a bit to get used to the switching between the plasmids and 'normal' weapons. atmosphere is good, probably would've been better if i had put my headset on and turned off the lights but was still good. i can kinda see how Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation would say it's pretty darn easy with the amount of supplies that are strewn around everywhere. the lack of an actual backpack/inventory screen is a bit bothersome if you want to see all of your supplies in one screen but does show you how many of X you're carrying if you have it/it's weapon selected and you can always see how many medkits and syringes you have next to your HP/MP-err...E...P? y'know what i mean, gauge. and yeah...the respawn chambers really ARE everywhere. pretty much every room has one. so either a lot of people had 'accidents' even before shit went south or...i dunno.

on a slightly different note, Halo 3 DID NOT sell out at our store. :3 there were still quite a few collector's editions on our floor at the end of the day. no love for Master Chief head. ;_;

also, i'm slightly tempted to break my streak of not owning a Sims game and getting MySim. maybe it's because i don't have an actual Wii yet, thus no real Mii, and having MySim would kinda be a facsimile of it. kinda. or something. i dunno. we shall see.

dangit, i was gonna say one more thing but i just brainfarted... oh yeah, [info]desslok, while i'm still quite in a state of BROKE from paying a colossal price for the Colossus, i wanted to ask just how much you'd want for the PSP? i ask mainly because we just got a load of those new Slim/Lite PSPs at work so i maaaay go with that if/when i'm out of BROKEdom. but lemme know anyhow.

oh, and Heroes was friggin' awesome. XD poor Hiro. angsty Nathan. NUO~ Takei~ ;_; so far, all the season premieres have been awesome that i've seen. sure, that's all of Heroes and Avatar but hey, it's a good start! recorded House so I'll watch it tomorrow after class. and yay for SpAshley smexing again on SoN, kekekekeke... i want say poor Kyla but ugh...she needs something to burst that bubble. also, oooh Bionic Woman tomorrow. *records*

alright, sleep. ugh parking tomorrow. UGH.

COLOSSUS

'new' computer is SHINY! like, really. i need to find another name for it other than Colossus but it's hard to since it's so h00j liek eckzbawx, metallic looking and heavy as fuck. now whether you think the comic book character or the one of the 'computers' that were used to break codes in WW2, they both fit the description more or less...

i had a few issues due to cabling. first, being that he kinda forgot to give me the power cables for both the monitor and compy, not to mention the dvi cable as well. and when i DID get them, the dvi cable was borked so i just went ahead and bought a new one. i'll probably have to format some of the hard drives since they're full of chinese movies or anime with chinese subs (if they at least had english subs, i'd attempt watching them).

for the hell of it, i went ahead and loaded up both LotRO and Tabula Rasa though i only had time to check out LotRO before having to banish myself to bed. SO PRETTY ZOMG THE COLORS AND THE DETAILS UWAUWAUWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! yeah, me likey. Celondim is beautiful on low settings but man...on Very High...dizamn yo.

but yeah, first day back to school. first class?

dammit. no i DON'T need a PSP because a Jeanne D'Arc game exists for it. i really don't. ...why am i such a Jeanne D'Arc fangirl?

and i especially don't need a PSP for the Fate/Stay Night chibi fighting game, Fate Tiger Colosseum, which [info]stormdragon oh-so-kindly reminded me of...when i asked him to remind me that i didn't need a PSP... =_=

bah...i still haven't finished a few of my DS games too...

and i'll pretty much be broke as it is after i buy this new shiny computer...

doesn't help that the UMD movies are practically dirt cheap now too...

lucky zetsubou rasa q nowhere

  • Aug. 19th, 2007 at 3:16 AM
BoA hawtness
so i've figured out why Lucky Star will never be as awesome as Azumanga Daioh, at least in my opinion. Konata is a very awesome character. i'm sure for most, she is the most awesome character of the entire show. i can't disagree with this. but in fact, that's the shows weakspot as well. i think the show depends a little TOO much on the awesomeness of Konata to carry it. if you were to take away Konata, the show would have a fairly hard time staying afloat as far as being a fan hit. Azumanga Daioh seemed to have a much more diverse cast and could probably survive just fine if you were to take one of the girls out of it. or at least, far better than Lucky Star would. this is my opinion though. don't get me wrong, i like watching LS enough but don't feel nearly as hooked as i was to AzuDai.

that being said, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei BREAKS MY HEAD. so entirely wtf. from the way it's animated, to the characters to...yes. just oddness abounds. but of course, i'll keep watching it.

Tabula Rasa has eaten my soul. rather, the beta alone has eaten my soul. hopefully, they work out all the major kinks before the game actually goes live. but so far, i'm definately liking what i'm seeing. definately need to fix the clipping and such. being shot through trees and rocks is very wtfnoez?! am happy that my current computer has exploded while i've been playing but yes, still vere much want a new system.

urgh, unfortunately i'm not sure i'll want to try to work during the school year again. my grades really suffered once i started working (amongst other things) so i'm thinking it might be a good idea to stop working for a while. still have to take so many gen ed classes. blech... =_=; i think this semester, i'll just stock up on gen ed stuff, try to get as much out of the way as possible.

but yay! get to see Avenue Q on the 31st! live puppet sex for me! :D AveQ never fails to make me chuckle/laugh when i really need to. it'll be awesome to finally see the real show. :3

this weeks South of Nowhere was rather zzzzz... thought they'd show more of the new girl but meh. and wtf AshleyxAidenxKyla?! just...eww...

so i figure most, if not all, people have some idea of what Pangya/Albatross 18/Super Swing Golf is. if you don't, it's a VERY cutesy golf game. google it.

anyways, i had/have an account on there but it's been collecting quite a bit of dust but the company that made the game, OGPlanet sent me an email saying 'hey! we have another game in beta! try it!' so being the sucker i am for free mmo's, and even moreso for mmo's with teh cute, i gave Rumble Fighters a look over.

if you've ever played BOTS, it's a lot like that but i think you fight against other players rather than NPCs. i haven't actually played ingame yet so i can't say for sure. but one thing is definately for sure...

oi does it bring the cute. evil cute too! )

so i spent most of my weekend...shopping. o_o yay for holiday sales and such. n.n; got a couple of new shirts, new shorts, random Heely's shoes (must practice using them at some point...) and a new, nice pair of Juicy sunglasses. also a really cute Tokidoki pirate print bag that i liked but OWPRICE. great jeebus, can someone tell me why they're so expensive in comparison to Harajuku Lovers? srsly, i think for the price of one of TD's bookbags, i could get 1.5 to 2 of HL. x_x; just oof... anyways, that was friday and saturday.

sunday was a drop by Fanime day w/ KnM+Nam to hang out with JnS. didn't really do anything con related. sorry i didn't drop by the karaoke room for all the karaoke peeps. D: we did wander by the maid cafe and...like M said, not too impressed. n.n; not by the gals nor their costumes. they just seemed so...stark to me for some reason. maybe i was expecting more ruffles? i dunno...

oh, [info]frumpysf, to whom do i speak to regarding panels and video programming? while i didn't drop by the room myself, i know a lot of people were disappointed at the late friday night yuri showing. i'd be happy to head both the panel and a NON-hentai yuri video room for Fanime next year because *GASP* there is yuri that isn't PORN! :D let me know~

anyways, mostly just hung out in JnS's hotel room, running a game that surprisingly didn't end with my character dying. this is an amazing thing because she's the healer, and we all know from FF7 that the HEALER ALWAYS DIES FIRST! :D she's survived 5+ games now...just amazing... much fun was had, much AHMAHGAWDS KILL IT KILL IT and so forth as per usual for our games. :3

monday was spent couch potatoing while marathoning most of Escaflowne with my buddy Nam. his favorite part was when Dilandau slaps one of his Dragonslayers after giving his report. we both lol'd plenty at that. :3

all in all a good weekend. hopefully next weekend will be shiny too.

and now for a random video link for all the fans of Pirates of the Carribean and/or One Piece!

Here comes the fuzz...

Hot Fuzz is just awesome. friggin' awesome. not quite the same type of awesome that Shaun of the Dead was but still damn awesome. everyone with a sense of humor should see it. that is all.

in other news, as i and now [info]muimi07 have mentioned, we've packed our bags of holding and have migrated from the fantasy world of WoW to The Lord of the Rings Online. we'd love to see more familiar people with us but will understand if you're still WoWing under the influence. ;3 my characters are as follows:

- Mischief (lvl 15 (Ham)Burglar / Woodsman)
- Kyrienne (lvl 15 Minstrel / Armourer) (no, you're not allowed to eat the minstrel.)
- Linnaria (lvl 7 Lore-Master / Historian)
- Trystia (lvl 6 Captain / TBD)

so yeah, we've already started on crafting skills and what have you, and are working on farming up some money so we're not p' anymore. anyone? anyone? Bueller?

and like [info]stormdragon, i'll be holding onto my CoH/V account for now. just seems like everyone is on a villains kick and i'm not there yet so meh... n.n;
