so it looks like some jackass is taking time out of their pathetic life to cruise some of the GLBT related web comics out there and posting 'fanfic' of the characters within the comic that are gay being brutally beaten and/or shot by himself. i first heard of this person/occuring when the gal who does YU+ME and Lesbian Pirates From Outer Space did an LJ post about it. and not too long after that, the gal who does Simply Sarah got something from them as well. sigh.

sadly, this person has been at the whole GLBT hate fanfic thing for quite a while since their livejournal has been around for about a year. of course, like most hate crap, it reads like it's written by a preteen that doesn't know how to use grammar or spell check even if they were on by default.

it just makes me sigh and shake my head... and you got to love that he hates christianity and says the bible is full of lies and deceit but still love to use it as 'proof' that God hates teh GAY. seriously, dude, if you're gonna quote something, don't say it's full of shit and expect me or anyone else to buy your bullshit. it's like the prime example of counter-fucking-productive. it's just...fucking sad...

werk werk

Toph - BAM!
anyone (know of anyone that might) need/want a part time job at the Apple Store in Palo Alto? we're hiring and i get $250 if people i refer get hired. :DDD

in other work news, it kind of surprises me just how many lesbians i work with. i mean, sure, half were pretty obvious but the other half was like '...really? o_o;' i dunno, growing up in the area, i was always surrounded by straight people in school so i guess it surprises me when i do meet people that are (openly) gay in the south bay.

and before any of you ask/suggest things, only one of them is single and while she's pretty cute and cool to hang with at work, don't think she's really my type. :P

so i was watching...i think it was the Top Chef season 1 vs season 2 special thing, and a commercial for chemistry.com came on. you can view it here but the jist of it is a guy looking at a straight porn mage, presumably Playboy, and after snickering at a few pages, he pauses...closes the mag and shakes his head.

"Nope, still gay."

as if that wasn't LOLZ enough, it's followed up by saying that eharmony.com apparently rejects A LOT of people that try to use their service for some reason. out of sheer curiosity, i went ahead and tried to make a profile and...yeah, you can't be a woman looking for women or a man for a man. there's no way to get those options at all. then again, eharmony really seems to push relationships with marriage being the end result of them so...i wonder at who's running this site and their reasons for excluding people. just oddness. :x

anyways, whoo~ it's Pride month and stuff! \o/ there's a possibility i might spin at a club for SJ Pride but i still need to get in touch with my classmate to see if that'll still happen or not. as for SF Pride, anyone interested in going at all? :D?

on the same note, i miiiiight try to go to Yuricon. if i can land a better paying job this summer so i can save up for that but still have money to save up for my music tech/video arts equipment/software/classes, then...it's a possibility. n.n; i'm just worried since it falls on the first week of the fall semester classes and...going to the east coast for just one day/the weekend seems like kinda a waste as i've never been before. it'd be nice to go for at least a week to wander around...though there'd also be the trouble of finding a place to stay... errgh... =_=; time will tell.

respect the yoni!

so the Harry Potter drag show, Hogwarts Express, last night was filled with much LOLZ. i'm sure all the HP shippers out there would've loved it. XD i think my favorite bit was the Sexy Back bit just because Snape got down big time.

and as if my cheeks weren't already hurting at that point, the second act, a black lesbian comedian named Micia Mosely. she basically did a spoof on speed dating, with audience members asking questions as she changed clothes and personalities. [info]blackberry74 and [info]gtonizuka, you two would've been busting up big time.

for mommy day, went with the family to a restaurant in downtown Campbell, Olio. the food on the menu LOOKED really good but bah if it didn't take a long time for it to actually get to our table, especially my order, which came like...10 minutes after everyone else's came. and all it was was fancified eggs benedicts with a basil hollandaise sauce and some fried potatoes. wasn't too impressed. the cibatta breakfast sandwich and french toast looked good, and everyone seemed happy with those. ah well.

Sidewalk Chalk Art

after that, we braved the parking situation at Santana Row to watch The Hoax, which was pretty fun/interesting. but i think the best thing about going to the craziness that is Santana Row on a holiday was that there was some REALLY awesome sidewalk chalk art, all Mother's Day themed of course, for a contest they were holding. quite impressive if you ask me. :D i didn't get to take pictures of all of them and sorry the quality kinda sucks. they're from my phone's camera so yeah. still impressive none the less!

and now for rib dinrar. :D

then laundry... DX

oh, the sweet irony...

as i was washing my dishes tonight, a VERY random thought came to my head. i don't even remember what i was thinking before i had this thought or how it lead me there but wow...

for those that have seen But I'm A Cheerleader, remember how they try to get all of the kids to think of a 'root'. you know, what MADE them gay? well, i think in the midst of washing dishes, i've come up with my root.

after my mom and my dad split up, instead of sleeping in my room by myself, my mom started having me sleep in her bed. no, no hanky panky you pervs, we'd just sleep in the same bed. even when i did something bad and she was peeved at me. well, most of the time.

...i have to wonder if my mom has ever had this same thought and blames herself for it. XD i mean, it's utter BS if you ask me since she's not the only relative i ever had to sleep in the same bed with that was female when i was young but it's still a rather entertaining thought to me.

in other news, i saw a falling star tonight! :D

and yay for Heroes being back! \o/

bad start, good end

bad start
- paying the bail on my fix-it ticket notice because i lack the original ticket (due to the car break-in). partially my own fault for not following up after getting a new license plate but had assumed i could take care of it at the same time as long as i had the courtesy notice. feh.
- arriving at the dry cleaners to pick up my overcoat for Dickens Fair costume, only to see all the neon off and closed sign. nevermind i told them i needed it by saturday, and i SAW my coat hanging on a 'done' rack, but had never received a call to say it was ready. so demanding a discount/freebie.

good end
- good cottage pie
- good sausage roll
- found/bought an AWESOME vest that worked much better than the one i had found for the costume, especially since it had an actual POCKET for my POCKETWATCH. was fairly cheap for 'bought at fair' stuff.
- OHSODELICIOUSHOTBUTTEREDRUM
- yummy tea party with finger sammiches and a devon puff

definately want to do it again next year. need a derby/bowler hat, especially for shiny new vest. probably gonna trade in the pocketwatch i got for one that has older text for the numbers. wee~ doing drag was fun and saw quite a few other gals in drag too so didn't feel like i stuck out like a sore thumb. even saw a couple, which was vere vere cute. X3 tried to take pics but couldn't be bothered with trying to figure out how to turn off the long exposure setting (which would be awesome for raves/glowstick/photon photos!) so will be linking to a friends when they're up.

gaw...work at 8am. sleep for me~

lol excellent song name-wise for the last one. XD

in other news, yay for having tomorrow, friday, maybe sunday and monday to move as much stuff as possible over to moms! yes, at least it's only a 5min drive rather than over the mountains again but still very frustrating, overwhelming and stressful right before school starts~! i just wanted to kick back and relax/have fun my last few days of 'summer' but alas... while this move is beneficial in many ways, i just wish it could've been planned a bit better or that she could wait until my winter break or some other time i actually have time to pack and move stuff without feeling rushed but oh the fuck well! unsure as to whether i will be bringing Kouji over with me or not... him and Lilly didn't duke it out when i brought him last time but...mrr... =_=;

i'm also very tickled that one of the books i'm required to read for my Gay/Lesbian Literature class is Tipping the Velvet, which i've owned for a while now, i just haven't been in the right mood/frame of mind to read it. until now that is. if anyone is curious as to what the other books are:

Buddies by Ethan Mordden
Dancer From the Dance by Andrew Holleran
Relationships Can Be Murder by Jane Dilucchio

Relationships sounds interesting and gets yay reviews on amazon, and the other sound fun as well. either way, i'm looking forward to the class. :3

GYAHAHAHAHAHA pulled another #otenba-er into CoV... now to just completely steal her from WoW... >3

...this is me SOOOOOO not adjusting to school sleep schedule. DX ;_;

well, kinda. n.n; anyways, it was mentioned on one of the yuri mailing lists that there will be a survival/psychological horror game coming out (ha ha) in the US soon called Rule of the Rose. of course, this is being mentioned on a yuri ML because there's supposed to be a bit of a yuri undertone to the game. Sony didn't want to bring the game over since the undertones would be between minors but Atlus felt that since it's not necessarily the main theme of the game, it should be okay. i figure, 'hey, at least it's not yuri undertones with minors that are SISTERS' like in Fatal Frame II. n.n; regardless, the game looks like it'll be a frustratingly fun play, and will probably leave me just as frustrated as the endings of FF2 did so...man, i just need to buy a PS2 already, sheesh. ._., for a clump of trailers, go here.

in other news, having fallen in love with Ayaka's Suprise English Lessons, i decided to check up on Gaki no Tsukai. uhh...Endo gets a very...SPECIAL piece. just. WHOA. i'm surprised he and the rest of the guys were okay with it. i mean, i dunno if taking a shinai to the ass has just broken their minds or what but...yikes. NSFW yo. Part 1 & 2.

thespianz? :D?

so since i'm too lazy/broke/(insert adjective here) drive to go see stuff for the SF asian american film fest, i took a peek as to what the SJ film fest had to offer. someone from the yuri ML i think had mentioned it would be playing so i decided to read up on Loving Annabelle, which is apparently a remake of a lesbian classic, Maedchen in Uniform. while i haven't seen the original, i wouldn't mind seeing the remake, and also God and Gays: Bridging the Gap sounds interesting.

anyone up for thespianz? :3
