only other thing i have to report is that after training today, we officially saw that we had campers for the iPhone outside our doors. small group but DANG. they like had a complete set up! i saw a monitor at least but i didn't linger around to see where they were getting power or what they were hooking the monitor up to. i just hope they don't roast too much tomorrow. i totally should've gotten a picture of them though... maybe i'll get one tomorrow... XD

so since i have Colossus now, keisuke_chan suggested i really give it a whirl by playing the BioShock demo.

it's a fairly shiny game but it'll still take me a bit to get used to the switching between the plasmids and 'normal' weapons. atmosphere is good, probably would've been better if i had put my headset on and turned off the lights but was still good. i can kinda see how Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation would say it's pretty darn easy with the amount of supplies that are strewn around everywhere. the lack of an actual backpack/inventory screen is a bit bothersome if you want to see all of your supplies in one screen but does show you how many of X you're carrying if you have it/it's weapon selected and you can always see how many medkits and syringes you have next to your HP/MP-err...E...P? y'know what i mean, gauge. and yeah...the respawn chambers really ARE everywhere. pretty much every room has one. so either a lot of people had 'accidents' even before shit went south or...i dunno.

on a slightly different note, Halo 3 DID NOT sell out at our store. :3 there were still quite a few collector's editions on our floor at the end of the day. no love for Master Chief head. ;_;

also, i'm slightly tempted to break my streak of not owning a Sims game and getting MySim. maybe it's because i don't have an actual Wii yet, thus no real Mii, and having MySim would kinda be a facsimile of it. kinda. or something. i dunno. we shall see.

dangit, i was gonna say one more thing but i just brainfarted... oh yeah, desslok, while i'm still quite in a state of BROKE from paying a colossal price for the Colossus, i wanted to ask just how much you'd want for the PSP? i ask mainly because we just got a load of those new Slim/Lite PSPs at work so i maaaay go with that if/when i'm out of BROKEdom. but lemme know anyhow.

oh, and Heroes was friggin' awesome. XD poor Hiro. angsty Nathan. NUO~ Takei~ ;_; so far, all the season premieres have been awesome that i've seen. sure, that's all of Heroes and Avatar but hey, it's a good start! recorded House so I'll watch it tomorrow after class. and yay for SpAshley smexing again on SoN, kekekekeke... i want say poor Kyla but ugh...she needs something to burst that bubble. also, oooh Bionic Woman tomorrow. *records*

while i'm still pretty piss broke from fixing up my car and buying collectors editions of Burning Crusade for peoples, i HAD to buy Hotel Dusk, just because i knew it'd take forever to get it back in stock when they all sold out. so here i am with it.

wow. just. wow.

anybody who's ever seen the music video for the song Take On Me by A-Ha knows how friggin' awesome it is, especially for the time that it came out. even with the bad 80s hair and clothes. and of course, it's a kick ass song.

Hotel Dusk reminds me A LOT of that video just because it's executed in somewhat of the same manner. they have pencil sketchings over color backgrounds that are somewhat animated. sure, a lot of it is recycled, especially on the speaking spots but damn if the style just doesn't make me love it from the get go. definately a step up from Trace Memory, which i also loved playing.

i'm just hoping that the actual playtime of the game is a lot longer than Trace Memory but it's hard to say since i think the in-game/story time is only supposed to be the length of an evening or at most 24hrs since that's the amount of time your character checks into the hotel for. we'll see i guess.

ugh...i'll finish all my DS games eventually. really.

oh yes, and i <3 NCSoft for having double XP weekends on CoH/V. XD can't get that on WoW! \o/

okay so i ended up getting Elite Beat Agents because i thought you could play the WHOLE game multiplayer if there was only one cartridge, and i wanted to try out the wireless co-op play with muimi07. alas, though those plans were foiled, i'm still having a fun and frustrating time playing it! XD

while it's kinda like 'huh? what the heck is this in the middle of my crack music game?', it's also pretty cool they chose to do it since most rhythm games DON'T have that kind of element in them. the closest i think is Bust A Move, and it was really more of a fighting game thing where each character had a story of why they were dancing but not much else. definately an unexpected but well executed move by the EBA crew. me likey. :3 gaww...fear seeing what it looks like on normal mode though. currently, just going through easy to get used to it. x_x;

surprisingly, my feet are holding up fairly well. granted, they still hurt like hell and any time i let my feet rest for 10 minutes or more, i find i have to kind of hobble around a la House for the next several minutes. thankfully, they haven't been too pushy at work as far as projects go so i've been able to take it easy somewhat.

in fact, yesterday i kept floating over to the software/game department to see what other DS games and accesories i might want. i do want to get a different cover for my DS that stays on while i'm playing it just because...i want to keep it looking pretty and with all the junk that gets spilled and such on the break tables at work, i don't want that crud all up on my baby. unfortunately, we only have 2, one of which as the Super Mario crew on it and one that's clear but you can put these sheets that have NFL emblems on them to show your support or something. at first i thought i'd get the Super Mario crew one then just put a sticker over them but now i'm considering getting the NFL one, tossing the NFL emblems and just printing up pretty pics of my own to cut and fit in there. XD or just keep it clear, either way.

does anyone have suggestions as far as GBA games that are compatible with the DS? i got all excited when i saw we had Puzzle Fighter for GBA but then flipped to the back of the packaging only to have it say GBA compatible only. *sniffle* ;_; i know there's Castlevania and FF5 but anything else? :x

and damn you FF3. damn you to hell. you make me want to play FFXI again. DAMN YOUSE. THAT IS NOT GOOD. i'd been kinda wanting to see if i could still get my mithra back on there and now you're trying to push me off the edge into getting into it again. grr... but other than that, you are a shiny, shiny game and i <3 playing you muchly. it kinda irks me that SquareEnix STILL requires you to more or less buy the game AGAIN if you've left the game over their 3 month mark but at least they've come out with a compilation version with all the expansions in one for only $30. very tempting... they really should just knock off the rebuying thing though or make it so you just have to buy a new PlayOnline ID or something. anyone know if they're doing the Friends of Vana'diel thing any time soon? >_>;

in other news, i find it INCREDIBLY CUTE AND AMUSING that Toboe loves to chase his tail. he REALLY gets into it. he looks like he's doing gymnastics or breakdancing because he'll hop around in circles trying to get the tip of his tail. it's HIGH-LAIR-EE-US. i need to film it some day to share...

not that i really have time to play much of either CoV/H or WoW these days...i really ought to just cancel one or both of them for the time being...maybe CoV/H since i haven't really ran around on there since Halloween.... bleh...i really wish work would give me better hours to leave time for school and relaxation time. ~_~;
