so i spent most of my weekend...shopping. o_o yay for holiday sales and such. n.n; got a couple of new shirts, new shorts, random Heely's shoes (must practice using them at some point...) and a new, nice pair of Juicy sunglasses. also a really cute Tokidoki pirate print bag that i liked but OWPRICE. great jeebus, can someone tell me why they're so expensive in comparison to Harajuku Lovers? srsly, i think for the price of one of TD's bookbags, i could get 1.5 to 2 of HL. x_x; just oof... anyways, that was friday and saturday.
sunday was a drop by Fanime day w/ KnM+Nam to hang out with JnS. didn't really do anything con related. sorry i didn't drop by the karaoke room for all the karaoke peeps. D: we did wander by the maid cafe and...like M said, not too impressed. n.n; not by the gals nor their costumes. they just seemed so...stark to me for some reason. maybe i was expecting more ruffles? i dunno...
oh,
frumpysf, to whom do i speak to regarding panels and video programming? while i didn't drop by the room myself, i know a lot of people were disappointed at the late friday night yuri showing. i'd be happy to head both the panel and a NON-hentai yuri video room for Fanime next year because *GASP* there is yuri that isn't PORN! :D let me know~
anyways, mostly just hung out in JnS's hotel room, running a game that surprisingly didn't end with my character dying. this is an amazing thing because she's the healer, and we all know from FF7 that the HEALER ALWAYS DIES FIRST! :D she's survived 5+ games now...just amazing... much fun was had, much AHMAHGAWDS KILL IT KILL IT and so forth as per usual for our games. :3
monday was spent couch potatoing while marathoning most of Escaflowne with my buddy Nam. his favorite part was when Dilandau slaps one of his Dragonslayers after giving his report. we both lol'd plenty at that. :3
all in all a good weekend. hopefully next weekend will be shiny too.
and now for a random video link for all the fans of Pirates of the Carribean and/or One Piece!

Honda Civic Tour 2007 featuring Fall Out Boy
Sleep Train Pavilion At Concord, Concord, CA

Ticketmaster
looks like 'good' seats are $35, lawn are $20. getting tickets asap would be yay. if anyone wants to go, please lemme know~ preferably by...the end of the week if not sooner. :D
Wondercon was yay! got Civil War 6 & 7, Cable & Deadpool trades 1-5 and an Etna! XD they had the other one as well but the detail on it wasn't nearly as shiny as the one i got. another shop had the goth lolita Kan'u but gaww...didn't want to splurge too much so i skipped on it. if anything, i wish i had had time to go back to the California Browncoats booth to pick up some of the very awesome shirts/stickers/etc they had. XD there was wonderful art to be oogled all around but considering i just bought 4 wallscrolls recently, i figured i could wait a bit on getting more stuff for my walls. n.n; gaww...there was also a replica of the Ultraviolet swords...so very shiny.... *_*
but yeah, the day was definately full of awesome! sunny/clear day in SF, traffic wasn't too horrendous with the con and Chinese New Year parade stuff happening, saw quite a few faces i haven't seen in a long while (and met some new ones :3) and
muimi07 & i got hooked up with free day passes for the con from these two random guys that passed by us! SCORE! \o/ it's good to have boobies. ( '-')b only bummer was not making it out to Daiso but it's not like that's gonna move any time soon so is allll good!
afterwards, we went to go break our heads watching Wild Hogs (since we couldn't follow up Wondercon by watching 300...damn that would've been perfect...), with much success of the breaking of the head. it is essentially City Slickers but with motorcycles but it's just as fun. it's painful watching some of the damage the poor bikes suffer tho.. ;_;

okay so i made 2 characters on Malygos...
Kyrienne - Night Elf Priestess
Trystia - Human Mage
...which i'll play, not too sure yet but i am having fun with Trystia...just having trouble deciding what talent tree i want to follow with her... what's everyone's main name on there again so i can leec-err...play along with y'all? :D?
oh yeah, and i forgot to mention the random, dirty dancing Sailor senshi (psuedo) lesbians that were getting all sorts of freaking in front of the dj booth... i don't really remember which senshi they were as i wasn't really staring at them but rather concentrating on beatmatching like i should but i thiiiiiink it was Haruka and Michiru... i could be wrong though...
ah, and another thing...thank GOD i waited until all of Gankutsuou was all subbed before watching it. i think would've been nutty if i had had to wait between episodes... it's not that the cliffhangers are bad...you just want to see how the complete story unfolds if that makes sense... loved the pattern art style too, very different from the norm cel shading. music was pretty fun though the opening is kinda...too mopey for my tastes, which makes it perfect for the series itself, you just won't see me driving down the street, bumpin' it on my speakers. n.n; Albert is a complete doof but a lovable one. and Eugenie is hawt. all the adults are fucked up...'cept for maybe Mercedes... i never read The Count of Monte Cristo and couldn't really remember anything from the movie so i couldn't compare or remember if one thing happened differently from the other, though i'm sure there was no Gankutsuou spirit thingy in either. regardless, it was a fun watch and i'm glad i got around to watching it finally.
now to tackle the many cds of Shadow Skill tv and Full Metal Alchemist aniki gave me... oi vey... x.x;

another Fanime come and gone. as many people have said, the con itself was just pitiful this year all around but it served as a good place to see people and catch up. definately had more fun just sitting around and talking to people, new and old, than doing anything con related. i don't know what the hell happened this year because i KNOW they had the money to spend but...it wasn't really reflected in what was offered at the con except for maybe bigger rooms... not to point any fingers but our guests were very mediocre. just about any other con had/has better guests than us and it's kinda...sad... it just doesn't feel like there was a lot of effort put into it this year and i'm thinking maybe they need new blood in there that is still freshly new to liking anime thus might care a bit more... *shrug* just thoughts, again not pointing fingers...just would hate to see Fanime tank in the next few years because there isn't anything for the fans except that it's local and has a dealers room... =/
dance had some problems setting up on friday night so i didn't get my hour slot that day... i could've been drinking dammit! D: saturday went much better and there were definately a lot more people on the floor. the room was HUUUUGE in comparison to last year, which was good and bad. it was nice to have all that space but it was space that really didn't get taken up that much and the acoustics suffered greatly. there was a funky echo so it made it hard to tell if i was trainwrecking or it was the echo at times. anyways, saturday was good, there was a decent amount of people when i started and i'm pretty sure the number was doubled, if not more when i was done. played a lot of the songs i wanted to and got the crowd pretty worked up. good stuff. decided to tagteam with dj slate/aniki on sunday and we just did a crack/cheesy trance set. went alright but since masquerade was going on, crowd wasn't as big. ah well.
there was a SEVERE lack of Mai HiME merchandise to be found in the dealers room. it was pretty much all Narutard, Bleach and Full Metal Alchemist. was kinda tempted to get Rukia's glove but decided not to. instead, got a small sling pack so i'm not always hauling around my backpack or large sling book bag with Priss in her hardsuit, limited edition of the Appleseed movie, The Chinese Feast (yeah for kooky Anita Yuen movies! \o/), Arcueid pinky doll and 6 fate/stay night trading figures (including Saber and Rin!!! <3 a winnar is me~!!! \o/). for my bday, </a></b></a>
shidouk got me the oh-so-shiny Kotobukiya 1/8 Saber PVC figure. *_* <333 to shidou for the present!!! XD i'll try to make it to AX but no guarantees, son... n.n; will have to get a full box of those fate figures later so i will have more of Berserker than just his...arm...and sword... -_-;;
anyhoo, thanks to all the people that showed up from near and far to hang out. i'm sorry that i couldn't hang out with ROD's friends more but i was really conked out that night. x.x; next time, yeah? n.n; and now! ...to find a flippin' job. guh... =_=;;;

...and possibly attending the dance, what day time would you prefer me to spin, if you care to see me spin?
friday 9pm-3am
saturday 9pm-3am
sunday 8am-1am
they want us to spin a least 2 of the 3 days and we'll get like an hour slot between the times listed. i know one of my friends wants me to spin an early set (either 9 or 10) on either fri or sat but other than that, it's open. i don't really care either way but they're actually giving us the opportunity to ask for certain slots this year.
opinions? anyone? bueller?
